The Gif Machine

The Gif Machine

Welcome. You've just accessed the Gif Machine Software Program. The Gif Machine is your chance to have an interactive part in what images get made into backgrounds. Any image you can find online can be transformed into a background, using the Doc's Laboratory's top secret Transformation Program. How, you say? Well, weren't you listening? I said it's TOP SECRET!! :)
Nonetheless, that doesn't mean you can enjoy some of the program's fringe benefits. If you have an image that you really like, and want to make into a background for you page, just submit it to the Gif Machine at:CyberMail...The Wave of the Future.* Keep in mind that when you send the image, it must be in visible form, where he can see it. It also must be a constant picture, not one that shifts or moves. And don't send any bitmaps. Those things take up a huge amount of memory, and are almost impossible to turn into a downloadable background. Other than that, it doesn't matter what image you have, this program can transform it into a gif. The Owner of the Estate will save the image onto his server for about a week after receiving the image. During which time, you should visit the Gif Machine and save the background onto your own server. Do not just link to the image on this page. You should "right click" on the background, and save it onto your own server. After then, it will most likely be erased, unless it's one the Owner really likes as well. If you linked directly to this page for the image, it will no longer appear because it will have been erased. Also, bear in mind that you assume all legal responsibility for the images you save. For instance, if you use an image from product "Brand X", or "Character Y", and later you get a call from "Brand X" or "Character Y"'s lawyers saying the background must be taken down, that's not the Owner's problem. (This is a very common problem amongst web page designers and copyright owners. My advice would be to put up a link to "X" or "Y"'s page like i've done to sweeten the pot.) There, that's simple enough. What will you do now?
